We Heart Bumbo

Yesterday the Fam went for a Jaxon shopping trip (sheesh kids are expensive!)...among our purchases was our newest favorite--the Bumbo seat.  Bumbo supports Jax in such a way that he is able to sit up on his own!  Since his head is still a little bit bobbley we are in "Bumbo training".  He sits in it for only a few minutes at a time so we don't wear his little neck muscles out!  Looks like the red chair has just been replaced!

Jax is 2 months old!

2 months old in Dad's Chair
Sleeping with Aunt B and the Bunny
Shots... :(
Okay...so I know I'm behind a little bit--Jax turned 2 months old last Tuesday.  We celebrated by making an appt for his 2 month shots (sorry kid...bdays'll get better I promise)  Since I was working, Justin took him to the Dr and made me the envy of Every other mother in the office who wishes her husband would have taken their kids.  The poor little (or not soo little) was again poked and prodded and then given 4 shots!  Our guy now weighs 15lbs and is 24 inches long!!!
I am amazed at how time flies.  He has already gone from being a little caterpillar who spent most of his time eating or sleeping...to an active and engaging kid (ok still an infant but you get the point.)  He is talking, cooing and gooing up a storm.  His smiles are getting bigger and come easily.  Jax has found his tongue in the past weeks and seems to truly enjoy smacking, sticking it out and licking anything that gets close! (watch out Pike and Halli!!!)  We are still working on the coordination to get to thumb sucker status--right now it tends to be a source of frustration for all of us...he can get it to his mouth, even get it in his mouth--but the staying put part is still out of reach.
Justin and I are doing well...I have only 12 more teaching days left and then summer can begin! We're already planning trips and fun outings with Jax.  We'll be sure to share stories and pics with you all!
Hope all is well.
much love,
Justin, Robin and Jaxon

Picture updates

Go DOGS!
8 weeks old...with Dad's turtle ;)
seriously?? CUTEST smile ever!
Tired baby and his bunny
Binki in the nose....
This week Jax, Justin and I (and Beth and Leslie) survived a full week of Mom working, as well as Dad working Tuesday-Friday!  We are very thankful and super lucky to have Aunt Beth coming down to do Jax duty while Justin and I are both at work!
Jaxon is changing everyday!  He's talking more and more--his smiles are coming more frequently and easily.  And he's working himself out of night time feedings...I don't wanna jinx anything but last night he had his 7 o'clock dinner, was in bed at 8:15 and then woke me up for a bottle at 4:20 and then was back in bed until 6:45!  He tends to be favoring the early waking times which is totally great with us during the week as he normally wakes up happy to hang out in his crib and talk to the shadows on the wall while I get ready for work.
So with the exception of the heat wave thats about to hit Fresno--all is well here in the valley!
Much love,
Justin, Robin and Jax

Jax' new trick

I'd love to be able to share with you all that Jax is now laughing (almost...I swear it) or rolling over (which he has done on occasion)...but his new talent surpasses all of those silly milestones!  This new trick was discovered during his weekend with Gram and Bob-O (pop-pop?).  Justin and I had a wedding rehearsal dinner and wedding last weekend so Gram came down to hang out with the boy.  We raved about Jax during bath time...how much he loves it, what a talker he becomes, smiling for miles...etc.  And during the two bath times, the buddy did not disappoint. He did add his new trick--poo-ing in the tub! Much to all of our surprise, Jax is a huge fan of letting it ALL go during baths.  I guess I wasn't exaggerating when I said the kid totally relaxes in the water! Sheesh...
I started back to work this week.  Justin and Beth tag-teamed up the weekdays for Jax duty.  I think we are all exhausted and ready for a break (sometime in June---maybe??)  There are only 24 school days left and I am sure they will fly by.  I can't believe that 7 weeks have already gone by since Jax has joined our family so the next 4 will be a memory before I know it!
We hope all is going well with all of you.  Our door is always open when you need a Jax-fix and a snuggle!
much love,
Justin, Robin, and Jax
