G-ma's Birthday Celebration

Jaxon's Gma (my Mom Cindy) had a birthday this past weekend. We were all lucky enough to be able to head into Merced for a party! Here are some pictures/memories from the event!

Dog Washer for Hire

Ok...so...kids cost A Lot. What with the Little Gym Classes, the clothes, shoes, toys (trucks to make Dad happy, developmental for Mom) diapers and gdiapers(these are admittedly my obsession. I'll blog on it later.) This kid is expensive!! So what better opportunity to share with Jax the lesson of hard work and the value of money than summer time?? We decided that testing out his skills to see what his expertise might be is a smart start. First up? Dog washing. Who wouldn't love paying a cute boy such as ours to wash their dirty mutts?? And it creates a natural partnership out of Jaxon's favorite things...the hose and his dogs! And while it may not end up to be his life's calling, it certainly did make for a fun afternoon!

Flashback to 26 weeks. Then and Now

Justin and I (sorry to drag out this pic again Babe) at 26weeks pregnant with Jaxon.
Camren at 26weeks.

I thought that it would be fun to take a peak back from time to time to compare pictures and updates between Jax and Camren. I can already tell you that even before looking at the pictures (which was a bit depressing) these two kiddos are already as different as can be!! In the two pictures included you can see that yes...I am...ummm "carrying differently"...who am I kidding?...I'm bigger, I have popped, the belly is larger! She does tend to sit differently than Jax who liked to put himself ALL out there, she tends to sit back and attack my ribs and hips simultaneously. (Already a multitasking chic!) Camren is also a lot more active than Jaxon was at this stage. And that's something that scares the daylights out of me as I watch Jax running circles around the living room with the dogs...more active?? seriously??
This weekend marks week 27 in the pregnancy. Which means a close to the first 2 trimesters and the start of the final 3rd! The birthdate for this little girl is set at Oct 19th at noon! So we have just over 12 weeks before her arrival! I can not even believe that time can fly as fast as it already is. Hope you enjoyed looking back as much as I have!

A trip to...You guessed it..Pismo!

So this is the first time that I can remember heading to Pismo 1. during the summer and 2. for 4 nights (leaving possibility for more!) The trailer was packed to the gills in anticipation of a longer trip, colder weather and stuff for the doggies accompanying us. We left the heat of Fres-yes on Monday morning ready to see some surf, sun, and lots of sand! Little did we know that the dunes are packed even during the week! (this did NOT make me happy!) But after a little scouting we found a primo spot and started to unload. Our great friends the Patterson's and the Ognibene's joined the compound and in the fun! We had a great week up until Thursday when our Jax boy came down with the flu bug. Puking while camping is not fun for anyone! Luckily it hit him fast and by Friday morning he seemed to be much better...which was a good thing cause I had come down with the bug early that morning! There was no way I was going to be able to take care of myself and a sick kiddo. Thankfully we had all decided it was time to pack up (poor Justin did this solo!) and get home! A great trip but we'll have to try again to see if we can get a better ending!

This wagon gets tons of use at the beach!
My guys...
Jax and his best buddy Oliver Ognibene (Ollie is 4 weeks younger than Jax!)

YAY! I'm clean (for a minute...)
Enjoying his very first AG Bakery cupcake. The same ones we had at our wedding, at his birth and just about any time we hit the coast. He ate the entire thing, smacking his lips and saying mmmm!

Matching quads
The big boys playing on the beach (Justin and Russ)

Justin and the sickie boy in between puking rounds. Eventually we realized the vomit wasn't stopping and it was smarter to NOT put on yet another clean shirt! Boy-o-boy did I have some serious laundry to do when we got home!

The Newest FFD Employee

Jaxon has taken to copying most of what his Daddy does...working in the garage, eating, hats or no hats, even just following Justin around the house and now wearing the same work gear! This boy LOVES his Daddy. When Justin got home from work the other day I had taken down a gift from Jax' G-ma...his very own turnouts! Justin brought his in and I got to watch as my guys dressed up!

Fire and Rescue...Just like dad
I'd imagine this will be the first of many pictures of my guys in turnouts.
Hey...I like yours better Dad!

Jax' trip to the Bay

Jax decided that it was high time he make a trip up to see his Bay area peeps the weekend of the 4th. Daddy had to work on the 4th so we headed out on Thursday and got back home late Saturday night. The car ride up was, for the most part, uneventful (and GOD awful long...this mommy hates Los banos...ugh). We were peppered with little glimmers of this Jaxon boy's sense of humor. He had us both in stitches while sleep eating!
Once we arrived we headed directly over to "the shop" (Conxtech offices) to make our rounds and thoroughly disrupt all those hard workers!
Jax got to help Uncle Max work!

Trying out his new plasma car with Nana...he's got the foot peddling down but using hands to make a car go?? That's a little beyond us right now! Either way still great fun (for everyone as you can see!)
The next morning we found our way to RJS offices to see where we could help out there. Jax took over the office like he owned it! Once again he had us in stitches trying to sit on Gramz toy cars (we are talking barbie sized cars...not buddy sized!) He and Gramz had a great time playing on the floor and all over the office!
Friday afternoon was all about the cars. His absolute favorite?? Papa's sand rail (can you blame him?) He played in the car for a long time...steering it, testing out the radios, putting on the harness and finally getting to go for rides! Justin said that every time they would stop the car he would frantically sign "more more" while shaking his head "yes!" Such a B-O-Y.
On Saturday morning Jax got to meet his only other Simmons' cousin. He thought it was hilarious to lift and lower Auntie Michelle's shirt to find the baby (ok...so did we!)
And after a wonderfully busy weekend Jax decided that it was time to take a nap. Thankfully Uncle TJ took it upon himself to show Jax exactly how it's done!
We had a great time, enjoyed the break from the heat and some good company! Thanks to all you Bay Area-ites for making time for us!
