Christmas Card Preview

Justin, Jaxon and I are so lucky to have such wonderfully talented friends like the Ognibene's...they have become our life photographers! Tuesday we went to their new property and did shoot. Jax was a great sport and gave us all the smiles we needed to get these awesome pics! The problem is that they are all so good that its difficult to narrow down! Look for your Christmas cards soon!
***by the way-if you would like any of these photos...Sarah has a nice website that has these pictures as well as our wedding pics, maternity pictures, Jax' newborn and 4 month shots. So if you haven't visited yet...check it out!

Happy Thanksgiving

Jaxon spent his first Thanksgiving here at home in Fresno. He helped his G-ma, Aunt B and Maria make tamales in the morning and played with his Uncle Max, Papa Bob and Nana in the evening. A nice quiet Thanksgiving was just perfect for a first! We hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!

Helper Boy

Daddy has been laying bamboo flooring for Mommy (yay no carpet!) and Jaxon of course needed to be right in the middle of it all...so we put him to work!
*Disclaimer-no children were harmed or forced to labor during this process. ;)

8 months and counting...

Yesterday was Jaxon's 8 month birthday! He is growing by leaps and bounds. Since he started crawling last month, the boy has not slowed down! I spend the majority of the day following him around the house and saying "be careful". Jax is also becoming adept at pulling himself up on anything--chairs, fireplace, bamboo flooring boxes, Pike and Hallie...what ever he can find that'll stay still long enough to pull up on! Our culinary adventures have continued. Jax has now moved onto tofu, eggs, cheese, chicken, ground beef/turkey, refried beans and more! He's pretty much decided that if he can't feed himself-then he's not eating. It's a blue moon that he'll let us feed him by baby spoon. Just recently, he has started babbling...all...day...long. From the time he wakes up to the time he crashes into sleep he is talking/singing/screeching. It really cracks us up. He definitely has his own sense of humor...with holding a belly laugh for only the funniest of things! Hopefully you all get your chance to get the boy to crack a smile or get a laugh soon!

Happy Halloween!

We decided a while back that a turtle would be the best costume for Jax...that was of course before he started jetting around the house! Halloween for the buddy was pretty uneventful. We spent the day hanging out at the house and watching Daddy at a softball tournament. By the end of the day he was spent but was a good enough sport to give me 10 minutes in his costume for photographic evidence! Watch out next year...we'll be trick-or-treating Skype style! ;)
