grouchy face

Jaxon provided last night's dinner entertainment! This "face" is something totally new. Justin reports that Jax started making it on the way home from the park yesterday! This kid had us crying in stitches! What did we do before there was a Jax??

Woah bed head!

gDiapers

In one of my last blogs I mentioned my newest obsession for Jax-- gDiapers. Before I get to ahead of myself and lose you...let's start at the beginning. When Jax was born and sporadically through out his life, my hippie roots have been calling in the form of wanting to cloth diaper Jax (I know, I know...who Wants to deal with poopy cloth diapers??) I've seen the damage this kid can do and the thought of the actual washing (*shivers*) has always won out. But with the digging I've been doing into disposable diapers (Thank you Pampers for the chemical burns...) I decided that there has to be a better option...a nice mesh between the convenience of disposable but kinder on the heiny. Just recently I've found a product that I absolutely love...the gDiaper. It is what is known as a hybrid diaper. The outer lining, besides adorable, is cotton. A liner (that is flushable, 100% biodegradable, or compostable) is inserted into the cover and poof---you've got a G! And while the hippie gene's are still calling me to try out the cloth, I think this will squelch them for now! And did I mention that they are ADORABLE??

Jaxon's Gma (my Mom Cindy) had a birthday this past weekend. We were all lucky enough to be able to head into Merced for a party! Here are some pictures/memories from the event!

Dog Washer for Hire

Ok...so...kids cost A Lot. What with the Little Gym Classes, the clothes, shoes, toys (trucks to make Dad happy, developmental for Mom) diapers and gdiapers(these are admittedly my obsession. I'll blog on it later.) This kid is expensive!! So what better opportunity to share with Jax the lesson of hard work and the value of money than summer time?? We decided that testing out his skills to see what his expertise might be is a smart start. First up? Dog washing. Who wouldn't love paying a cute boy such as ours to wash their dirty mutts?? And it creates a natural partnership out of Jaxon's favorite things...the hose and his dogs! And while it may not end up to be his life's calling, it certainly did make for a fun afternoon!

Flashback to 26 weeks. Then and Now

Justin and I (sorry to drag out this pic again Babe) at 26weeks pregnant with Jaxon.
Camren at 26weeks.

I thought that it would be fun to take a peak back from time to time to compare pictures and updates between Jax and Camren. I can already tell you that even before looking at the pictures (which was a bit depressing) these two kiddos are already as different as can be!! In the two pictures included you can see that yes...I am...ummm "carrying differently"...who am I kidding?...I'm bigger, I have popped, the belly is larger! She does tend to sit differently than Jax who liked to put himself ALL out there, she tends to sit back and attack my ribs and hips simultaneously. (Already a multitasking chic!) Camren is also a lot more active than Jaxon was at this stage. And that's something that scares the daylights out of me as I watch Jax running circles around the living room with the dogs...more active?? seriously??
This weekend marks week 27 in the pregnancy. Which means a close to the first 2 trimesters and the start of the final 3rd! The birthdate for this little girl is set at Oct 19th at noon! So we have just over 12 weeks before her arrival! I can not even believe that time can fly as fast as it already is. Hope you enjoyed looking back as much as I have!

A trip to...You guessed it..Pismo!

So this is the first time that I can remember heading to Pismo 1. during the summer and 2. for 4 nights (leaving possibility for more!) The trailer was packed to the gills in anticipation of a longer trip, colder weather and stuff for the doggies accompanying us. We left the heat of Fres-yes on Monday morning ready to see some surf, sun, and lots of sand! Little did we know that the dunes are packed even during the week! (this did NOT make me happy!) But after a little scouting we found a primo spot and started to unload. Our great friends the Patterson's and the Ognibene's joined the compound and in the fun! We had a great week up until Thursday when our Jax boy came down with the flu bug. Puking while camping is not fun for anyone! Luckily it hit him fast and by Friday morning he seemed to be much better...which was a good thing cause I had come down with the bug early that morning! There was no way I was going to be able to take care of myself and a sick kiddo. Thankfully we had all decided it was time to pack up (poor Justin did this solo!) and get home! A great trip but we'll have to try again to see if we can get a better ending!

YAY! I'm clean (for a minute...)
Enjoying his very first AG Bakery cupcake. The same ones we had at our wedding, at his birth and just about any time we hit the coast. He ate the entire thing, smacking his lips and saying mmmm!
