Holy 4 months old Batman!!

Thats right...as you can see by the traditional Red Chair picture...Our Boy Jaxon has reached 4 months old!  We celebrated the big day (which was Sunday) by sleeping, playing on our mat, eating, sleeping, pooing, and some more sleep.  It was a fun day for all. ;)
At today's Dr's visit Jax was weighed, measured and given 4 shots!  He now weighs 18 whopping lbs 13 ounces and is 26 inches long.  He's not our little cuddle bug that fits on one arm any longer...he is definitely a 2 arm kiddo now!  He has great head control and tries to sit up solo all day long.  Jax has also found his feet and just realized that the car seat lets him get at those guys much easier--so as soon as he's latched in his feet are up in the air and his hands are searching!  Justin and I are also entertained by his raspberry blowing skills, his constant dialog, and screeching (after which he gets the funniest smile like "yeah...I did that!"
We also learned today that our boy-whom we believed is super advanced-is "2 months precocious".  He displayed signs of stranger recognition today (stranger danger!) with the Doc.  Dr Jones actually brought in the 6mth checkoff sheet to show us that its not something he looks for till then! (ummm yay?)  Anyhow...he gave us pointers for helping Jaxon and our guests through this awkward stage such as not making direct eye contact with him till he's fully checked you out, hold him away from you as opposed to demanding face time with him, get him distracted and away from Mom.  He will get over it...and if we all play by his rules there should be no casualties :)  We do have a face picture book if you'd like to submit your photos for inclusion!!
Life with a 4month old is an amazing roller coaster than is different every single day.  But he makes Justin and I smile bigger and laugh harder than we ever did without him.
Hope he does the same for you...
much love
Justin Robin and Jax
