This is the way we wash our hands...

Rather than continue wiping my child down with an acid soaked washcloth (OK..NO ACID IS USED...but you'd swear that's what was on the washcloth what with all the writhing, hysterics and screeching) I decided that it was time to buy a buddy stool. Jax now loves to get down from meal time and toddles his cute little butt into the bathroom, and up the steps to wash his hands. Such a big kid. This new skill makes life so much easier!! And the nice part is that water gets absolutely everywhere so it also forces constant cleaning...yeah. (she said with sarcasm dripping...)

Jello Facial

We just wanted to let you in on the latest beauty fad...Jello Facials. From what I understand it does wonders for the complexion!! At least this is what Jax must have heard through the toddler grapevine because the boy loves to smear it all over himself just about as much as he loves to eat it!

In addition to climbing on EVERYTHING lately, Jax has decided to add a "love of small enclosed spaces" to his list of accomplishments. Over the past week we have found him in the most bizarre of places! Take a look...

Chaffee Zoo

Jax and I ventured out to the Chaffee Zoo today with our best buddies Garrett (3), Gannon (19mo) and their mom Tiffany. This is only the second time that Jax has visited the zoo. The last time was last October, so I was excited to see how different our visit would be! It was fun to see his reaction to all of the different animals!

It was a good visit. We will definitely look into buying a season pass now that I know Jaxon enjoyed the animals so much!! It will be one more trick up our sleeve to keep him happy and active once his little sister shows up!

Jaxon provided last night's dinner entertainment! This "face" is something totally new. Justin reports that Jax started making it on the way home from the park yesterday! This kid had us crying in stitches! What did we do before there was a Jax??

gDiapers

In one of my last blogs I mentioned my newest obsession for Jax-- gDiapers. Before I get to ahead of myself and lose you...let's start at the beginning. When Jax was born and sporadically through out his life, my hippie roots have been calling in the form of wanting to cloth diaper Jax (I know, I know...who Wants to deal with poopy cloth diapers??) I've seen the damage this kid can do and the thought of the actual washing (*shivers*) has always won out. But with the digging I've been doing into disposable diapers (Thank you Pampers for the chemical burns...) I decided that there has to be a better option...a nice mesh between the convenience of disposable but kinder on the heiny. Just recently I've found a product that I absolutely love...the gDiaper. It is what is known as a hybrid diaper. The outer lining, besides adorable, is cotton. A liner (that is flushable, 100% biodegradable, or compostable) is inserted into the cover and poof---you've got a G! And while the hippie gene's are still calling me to try out the cloth, I think this will squelch them for now! And did I mention that they are ADORABLE??
