Jax-O-Lantern

Last year my brother and Becca took the most adorable pumpkin pictures with cousin Elijah...we decided we needed to keep the tradition rolling!

Houston...we have lift off!

Ladies and Gentleman...we are mobile! Jax has been practicing for this day for about a month. He started out getting up on all fours, and then moved to rocking on all fours. Once he turned pro on the rocking he started trying to get somewhere with it. For a couple of frustrating days he was doing very well moving backwards--unfortunately this was Not what he wanted. Over the past weekend (motivated by a cell phone) he began to take a few strides in the right direction and by Monday (his 7 month bday) he'd begun to get the hang of it. Everyday he's getting a little bit faster and is crawling without Mom or Dad motivating him...

Bear Creek Pumpkin Patch

Today Jaxon got to visit the Bear Creek Pumpkin Patch with our friends Gannon and Garrett. There were tons of people and even more pumpkins since the weather was beautiful! The boys seemed to enjoy all the sights and sounds and were great sports as we moved them from spot to spot for more pictures, more pictures, MORE pictures! Luckily Jax loves the camera! Happy Fall!!

Pismo camping take 2~

This past weekend our little Simmons crew hit the pavement yet again and headed to our favorite place...Pismo! This time we opted to stay off the sand and had a nice time at our park. Gramz and Bob-o joined us for the weekend. The weather was perfect...sunny, crisp and not much wind. Here are some of the favorite snaps from the weekend!

6 month stats

Jax had his 6 month doctor's appt Friday. He was weighed and measured head to toe! He is in the 95% for weight at 21 lbs 8 ounces (which is a 5 ounce gain in 1 month) and the 90% for height at 28 inches long. His head circumference is 19inches! In all he checked out just fine! Dr. Jones gave us the go ahead on solids...we now get pancakes, breads, all fruits and veggies, crackers, mac and cheese, ice cream...pretty much what ever we are brave enough to give him! Jax' teethers are definitely on the move and the Dr predicted that they should break through sometime before Halloween (hurry please! the drool is killin us!)

We also took him to get his 6 month pics (we pick them up next week and will be in the mail as promised!) The photographer was pleasantly surprised at what a smiley guy Jax is. We got our allotted number of poses in record time! Here is a sneak at some of our favorites!
