YAY Daddy!

The Simmons'

how Jax supported Dad

Last week Justin had his Official Promotion Ceremony. This is a promotion that he received last November to Specialist. Beth, Maria, Jax and I (along with some of our Fire Family) were there to show our pride and support for Justin--who if I do say so...looked awesome in his rarely used Class-A's! We celebrated the night prior with a steak dinner prepared by G-Ma and Mamoo and the day of with Starbucks and a trip to Pismo. Way to go Dad!!

5 months old Today!

5 months in the Infamous Red Chair

Sitting up on his own starting the crawling position

Today is August 19...5 months since our Boy Jaxon came into our lives. He has definitely developed a quirky little personality. He LOVES smiles...he spends the huge majority of his day working out those cheekie muscles! Jax is also fond of testing the limits of his vocal range (to put it nicely) In reality...the kid loves to scream his head off...he talks non-stop...babbling, cooing, shrieking, singing and blowing raspberries. We have found tickle spots all over his body and will shamelessly turn ourselves inside out to hear his funny little laugh. Jax is mastering sitting up by himself and is working on getting ready for crawling! He is eating solids 3 times a day, just like the big kids do (or at least should) and seems to prefer the veggies over fruits (sweet potatoes especially!) Everyday brings a new trick, skill, quirk, like/dislike!

Pismo 8/09

YAY Beach!

Hanging with Mommie...

Loved the ride on Dad's quad
Jumperoo in the sand

Chillin at camp (he's supporting himself so well!)

Last week we loaded up the toy hauler with all of our gear (and most of it was Jaxon's) and hit the beach! Along with Beth and Maria we were joined by a couple of our Fire Family Friends...The Patterson's and the Ognibene's. At one point there were more babies and kids in our group than adults...I was kinda scared they would over throw us! ;) The weather was beautiful and Jax was a great little camper. I just wish we could get the kid to sleep in!! 6 am is harsh when your camping! But it was a great week and we have already planned our next trip!

Flowers for Mommy

Jax and I were visiting Grandma and Mamoo...when he began using his not-so-nice voice. G-ma took him outside for distraction and when they came back in Jax was holding a flower for me! Ok...so I'm pretty sure he was more interested in eating it than in giving it to me...but I like my story better! ;) My sweet boy...

The Big Boy Seat

Justin and I finally decided that it was high time to up-grade Jax' "high chair" from the Bumbo seat to a proper chair. Since we have a pub table and floor space is at a minimum with 4 dogs and 4 adults living in the house we were super excited when we found this seat by Chicco (our favorites!) It hooks on to the end of the table. Jaxon was adorably stoked when he got to sit at the table with all of the big people for the first time (rather than sitting on it!)
